Post-Christmas/New Year ATART Dec 28-Jan 6

My dad came down with a "cold" Thursday. (I think he is repeatedly being exposed to Covid at the assisted living facility. The safety protocols are almost completely gone now.) His first antigen test came back negative but with Omicron early tests are doing that in some people. The most reliable day to test is now day 4-5. Today is DAY 5 AND HE IS POSITIVE FOR COVID. I am concerned because even though he is boosted Doctors are seeing cardiovascular damage in boosted patients who have had even just a mild covid infection. This damage is showing up weeks later. My father already has risk because he has a history of A-fib and stroke. I am really upset.

I will continue to work on getting my trades ready to mail but I'm a little distracted and it might take me a little longer.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Dad may be showing a little improvement today - I am hoping so.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. Dad received the monoclonal antibody treatment on Friday evening. Today he is very definitely showing improvement. He is starting to act like his old self. Today he has been in the Covid unit for one week and he has been sick for 13 days. He needs to be further into his recovery before they will release him but for the first time I am feeling hopeful and relieved.
