I have people telling me the U.S. isn't even allowing one ounce mail to Australia, which is not true, as the post office keeps reminding me. On the other hand, I have some stuff to mail to Russia and I can't decide whether to send it and see if it gets returned or just hang on to it. And I've had two ounce stuff go to Australia, stuff I stamped at home, get through.

I've been trying to use custom forms more, but my post office acts like I'm asking for their children, so I'm thinking about going to a bigger branch and asking for a stash of them.

I have to get a few things crossed off my list and then into the studio I go.

I had "art at home" today with Cancer Support Community, We tend to learn about famous artists and then, we do some part based on their artwork.

This is the 3rd time we did Kandinsky. It never gets boring. We watch this youtube video by this adorable man. I love his accent and his joy.

His whole series is called Imperfect Paintings.

    My art today.
Used alcohol inks on this one.

This is way pretty in person, as the paints shimmer.

That whimsy sheep is so cute, aginghippychic!

Just popping in to see all the lovely art being done. I've been getting some things off my desk the last couple of days, so I haven't done anything for this ATART yet. But I took today off so that I could really get into the art today, tomorrow and Sunday. So stand by: St. Patty's Day art is on it's way!

Heading off to my craft table. . .

The Burren is one of my most favorite places in Ireland. It is a karst landscape region in northwest County Clare, Ireland. The area is known for its sometimes barren glacial-era limestone surface where many beautiful wildflowers grow protected between the cracked surface. The area also has many ancient megalithic tombs and other archaeological remnants. Currently, the area is also known for its Irish music. "Burren" comes from the Irish word "Boireann" meaning "rocky place".

    Attachment 230252 ATART 28 Cranesbill #2

Attachment 230253 ATART 29 Maidenhair Spleenwort (Asplenium trichomanes)

Attachment 230254 ATART 30 Poulnabrone Dolmen. This is the oldest megalithic tomb in Ireland, built perhaps 5800 years ago. The remains of 21 people were found here.
