MOOs are so fun to make! If you haven't tried them out yet, here's your chance.
Swap Info: This swap is all about the four seasons. The beautiful freshly fallen snow and bare trees of winter. The lovely spring flowers and robins building their nests. Steamy days of summer that are spent trying to stay cool. The wonderful colors of the fall trees and shorter days. Please, no holidays though. Just nature, and/or activities of each season.
Swap Rules:
~ This is a 4 for 4 swap. You will make 4 and get 4 back. One of each season.
~ All MOOs are to be 1"x2 3/4"
~ No bulky embellishments.
~ Make sure your MOO is sturdy, not flimsy or floppy.
~ On the back include your real name, user name, location and date.
Mailing Info:
~ Put your MOOs in a protective sleeve or something similar for protection. For MOOs you can use a penny sleeve and put two in w/ staples down the middle to make two pockets.
~ PM me for my address when you're ready to mail.
~ US: Include a stamped, self addressed envelope w/ your user name on the back.
~ International: Include a US intntl stamp (if you have one) or a US dollar and an address label. I'll
supply your envelope.
~ Be sure to allow enough time when mailing for your MOOs to arrive to me on time.
Other Info:
~ Subscribe to the thread so you can keep track of this swap.
~ Post to the thread when you have mailed your cards.
~ I will leave I-traders when your MOOs arrive.
~ Don't forget to leave me (host) an I-trader when you get your MOOs back.
~ Post to the thread and/or leave rep points when you receive your returns so that folks can know who
got their cards.
~ No communication and no cards will get you a negative I-trader.
~ Share pics if you can. Everyone enjoys seeing what others are creating.
~ A host card is neither expected nor required, but is appreciated.
Happy creating and I can't wait to see what everyone makes!

Great! The first one to show some interest. Hopefully you decide to join in nanvan.

I love the theme and moos, it's really about finding some time to create. I'm sure more people will join as soon as they see the swap - sometimes people forget to look in the Open Mail Art Swaps, but eventually word spreads!

Ooh, I'm interested. I've never done MOOs before. What does MOO stand for? I'm glad you put the size in the description so I can get an idea of what I'd be working with. Let me play with the size a little and see what I can do and then I'll probably join. But for now, I'm lurking and learning. . .

Fundygirl, I don't think it stands for anything. I believe, if I remember right, is that it was just a type of business card that size and for some reason it was called a moo. They're so fun to make. I hope you're able to play.

Nanvan, I know what you mean about forgetting to check this forum, I often do myself.

I thought moos meant the subject was cows, lol.

That's what you get when you google MOOs. That's why I had to ask.

I had no idea either when I first heard of them. Once I made my first moo though I was hooked. It's fun to work w/ a different size and it can be a challenge as well.

Really terrific moos, dnewton! I especially love the first one with the bees and the last one with the deer - wonderful way to depict the 4 seasons!

Yeah, I love the deer one too. Thank you for posting, dnewton. Now I have a better idea of what I would be making. I think I can do that! Please sign me up for the swap, trini70!

Yay! So glad you're going to give it a try fundygirl!
Thanks for sharing pics dnewton. I'm partial to the VW van myself.
-
Wow, Trini, you’re right! These are fun! I have two done already.

Yes - I love that VW van MOO and the deer also. One of the first swaps I did (the first time I joined AFA in '08) was a 4 seasons swap. I did cherry blossom trees. I'm going to lurk for now and make sure I have time to get them going. My mother-in-law is moving in with us in 11 days so we are spending a lot of time helping her pack and preparing our home.
