Mythical Landscapes due May 6, 2022

Mail call! An amazing set recvd from wordlesswonder. They're just fantastic, and TY for a hostess card. I will give it a good home. Appreciate you playing.

I have these cards finished. Wanted to ask if the mushroom one was ok, or if I should make a different card.

I have no authority to say whether it's ok for the swap or not, but that one reminds me of the 1959 movie version of Journey to the Center of the Earth when they're in the forest of giant mushrooms!!!

I love the mushroom card, and I think it matches this theme just fine. It's all about how you interpret the landscape. Beautiful cards, and thank you for posting!!

Thanks for letting me join. This is my first swap ever. Hope my cards match the theme.

I'd like to join as well.

Here are my 3.

The Eye Lake Mountains. Cloud Forests. Cliffs of Despair

I'm not sure the Cliffs of Despair are quite done. I like them as is, but the land (now red sea) didn't turn out quite as I had hoped.

I thought I had a plan for this: I was going to use Citrasolv backgrounds. But nothing inspiring came from my most recent attempt.

I bought some new Derwent Inktense pencils and thought I would try them on DARK paper. The first two cards were made this way, but subject matter was still hard.

Then I thought of making cards inspired by the old Tolkein covers from the seventies. My first search found the 1938 cover of The Hobbit and I loved it. I used Prismacolor for that one. Then I went back to Inktense for the last one.

This swap was definitely outside of my comfort zone. I wish I was good at "mystical" and "landscapes." But I'm afraid to wait any longer for mailing, so this is it...
