The only things I thought of were mothers, flowers, mother and babies, and I am sure you thought of that already.

What I love about ATART athons is that you don't have to create a set amount of anything. You can create what you want and trade right away - no future commitments. You don't have to create or post every day. I'll be participating at the beginning and end of this athon because I'll be away Sat.
Here are some optional challenge ideas:
April showers + May flowers
Spring cleaning - finish cards you started, use items you've been neglecting, organize a part of your art space and then use something you had forgotten about and re-discovered
Rabbits in the garden
: )

I really love those themes, esp the spring cleaning and rabbits in the garden. I have a lot of the cute rabbit extra ounce postage stamps. They would be cute in a garden type card. But really the spring cleaning entices me. I tend to have a mess on my work area. BUT I found out it is because I am a genius. (or something close to that).

Geniuses have messy work areas. Therefore I must be a genius. I am loving this audio book.

Judging from the status of my craft area, it would appear that I am also a genius.

I recently went a little stamp happy and bought a bunch of super cute new stamps and some new Copic markers to color them with. I'm looking forward to this athon as an excuse to get those stamps inky and really learn how to use those markers! Expect mucho cuteness in the thread!

You know that reminds me that I bought this really really cute die cut set with stamps that makes 3 d mini cards, and my BFF made one at Christmas, but I of course couldnt use the machine at the same time. It was her first time doing anything like this. I should MAKE MYSELF use them during the art a thon. I know exactly where they are at, and the machine, and the copic markers, No excuses.
Except I have a bin of backgrounds I want to whip out and make some art. HMM ok one day dedicated to the mini die cuts and then the backgrounds next.

I am feeling slightly better than the start of the month so I am hoping to be able to play at my normal speed.
CastleQueen5 - I think we all must be geniuses as I am yet to find a paper crafter with a tidy desk (unless they have storage tubs under the desk full of all the detritus that should be on the desk.
)
I used to work with someone whose desk was always pristine at the end of the day - the rest of us couldn't understand how this was possible. Turns out that he would open his top drawer and just swipe everything off the desk and into the drawer - when the drawer got too full, it would be 'filed' in the bin. Any work that was 'lost' due to this procedure wasn't really important anyway, according to him.

I'm trying to create the habit of clearing off my area at the end of my craft time so I can start with a clear space the next day. But since I do most of my crafting late at night (I'm a night owl by nature), I often opt to "clean up in the morning" (which sucks because then I have to waste crafting time cleaning up. But when I do manage to put things away right away, it's awesome to come into a clean, fresh space.

I'm not a genius. Totally opposite. I keep everything in order and organize things so that they are easy to keep in order. And I always find what I'm looking for because everything has it's own place. My daughter thinks that's the normal way and does the same
. Well, a really small home makes this easy because we can't have anything we don't need.

I compromise and try to keep some parts of art space open and clean to work in while allowing relatively controlled piles on the surrounding shelves!
