If anyone has lots of leftover ATCs from this Athon and want to pass them on, I am hosting a CLEARANCE swap. Check it out if you're interested.

My chemo went well yesterday. My steroids woke me up early. I am used to this. My brain is pretty clear, so I am trying to mail off the envelopes for this swap.

Trades have been mailed. Thanks so much for hosting.
We need more athons that feature a single country.

Signing off
Thank you, Karen, for presenting us with this fun ATART-athon!
From the start:
QUOTING:
Welcome to the Victoria Day ATART athon!
“I would venture to warn against too great intimacy with artists as it is very seductive and a little dangerous.”
-- Queen Victoria
Yes… ATART athons are very seductive and a little dangerous – at least to craft space organization and household chore completion.
ENDQUOTING
This was interesting and fun.
I love ATART-athons mostly for all the fun conversations. It's sort of like an online convention of kindred spirits.
I made cards that I would not have made otherwise.
I "talked" with other artists about artsy things.
I touched bases and traded with old friends
I made a couple of new friends.
I will tidy up my cards and take off my convention badge and take a few days away from ATCs.
Ahhhhhhhhh.......

That's exactly what it feels like - getting back from a conference!
The takeout Chinese food we ordered over the weekend lasted for a few days, but then I had to re-focus on keeping the household fed and running. Now it's time to "unpack from the conference" and get my trades in the mail.
Jo.on.the go: I'd also enjoy doing athons that include a country or a region/state for prompt themes! It wouldn't even have to be the host's home - it could be a place they've visited or find intriguing.
Sniisk's Challenge ATART is only 2 weeks away
I'm watching for hints. I have google eyes ready this time just in case...

I will mail my trades on Monday. I got a chaos in the garden this week and wasn't able to move my car anywhere. But my terrace is starting to look like how it should be

Thanks for a great Athon somnia, with some wonderful themes/ prompts.
I have people postage stamps all over my craft table and they are the one thing that I DIDN'T use during this Athon
All my trades went in the mail on Saturday, now to find my craft table, finish knitting a scarf and hat for my Melbourne grand-daughter (she has sent some knitting weather up to Queensland so I need to finish her things so that we can stop flooding).
Then I need to work on some swaps that are nearly due so that I will be clear of commitments for sniisk's Challenge Hunt (though it starts the day after my next treatment and the previous one set of a 2 day migraine so severe that I swear I was so light sensitive that I could see in the dark).
CastleQueen5 - I hated the way that the pre-meds send you to sleep. You walk in with a functioning brain and it leaves as soon as treatment starts. The steroids were very useful during a Challenge Hunt as I would be bouncing off walls at 2am and shouting 'Squirrel' (movie reference, an in-joke in my family) - great for card creating. Hope you are over the worst effects and on the way to feeling human again.

I've been lazy the past few days. Rain, rain, and more rain. Saps my energy. But I will be sending out all my trades tomorrow.
Thanks, somnia, for a fun swap! Lots of great conversations and beautiful art, what more could you want?

I will publish the official thread for the June Challenge Hunt ATART in some days. If you have any ideas for challenges, just send a pm. I have listed 507 "themes" and I would really appreciate other types of tasks. Most of the latest suggestion have appeared in earlier Challenge Hunts but I may use some of them anyway. I truly appreciate all the suggestion!
