That is why I sent your hostess postcard separate. It was too bulky to go as a flat envelope.

The first time I took these to the post office they were too thick. I re-packaged most of them and went back.

That time was a new experience for me with a new clerk. I thought hey, she’s going to get lots of good practice. She weighed my envelopes and used a calculator (my usual lady doesn’t). I added stamps to a couple that I knew didn’t have enough. I wasn’t sure she had the amount for extra ounce and non-machinable correct. Several she commented that I had extra postage, when I thought I’d need to add some. I questioned one time and she said it had changed recently. So I hushed. She rubber banded them so they didn’t get mixed in with the regular envelopes. Again, never had them do that. Well Thursday I got the little notice to come to the post office to pick something up. Hm… it was all my envelopes, they never left the post office because all were wrong so the head clerk pulled the batch.

The only clerk on a cash register was the cranky one. She was mad to have to print off little postage additions, some only 3 cents! anyway, they all all on their way again. I’m sticking with ATCs and smaller for the future. The new clerk had the 2 surcharges switched. With the add-on stickers I couldn’t keep up with what was what. If they come back again, I will definitely scream.

I thought I would pop in to say. I found I never mailed the hostess postcard. I did get it mailed with 3 crrr coins, on Saturday. I hope you love love love it

So sorry about the pain in the buttocks with the postage. I think clerks need to be "certified" in so many ways.

My husband worked for the post office for 35 0r so years. He began as a clerk and then switched to being a carrier, but switched back to being a clerk. I think the dogs got to him. Working at the post office is not always easy. Management is sometimes terrible. Some post masters are good, some not so much.

Our head clerk is fine. My favorite clerk is really nice. She is never irritated, even when I bring in a bag of envelopes and every single one needs weighed. She says, it’s fine with her. She’ll be working this time regardless. We chat and look at the newest released stamps and it’s all good. After repackaging them I was nervous that they wouldn’t like the taped envelopes. She separated out the smaller envelopes and I lost track of the ones I was concerned about not having enough postage. Oh well, it’s done. I need to get over it.

I received my envelope! Thank you! I did notice that in addition to the Global stamp, there's a USPS sticker saying postage paid $0.00
    ??
Anyway, the envelope made it here, full of artistic goodness. The Eagles song Take it Easy is now stuck in my head
