I have 4" thin round laser cut wood disks. May I use these as a base for mine? Or are they too large?

Laffqueen, I hate to see your Sugar Pumpkin and Mummy go, but love your tins, too! Maybe it should be a 3:3 or 6:6, but then not everyone is as prolific as you!

wildholly, I adore your "Spooky" tin - those little cats with their little treat buckets and their long shadows are fantastic and the expression on that little ghostly ghoul on the rim is adorable!

Hey, Dearie. These don't sound right for the swap for two reasons: 4" rounds sound a little too big in diameter and also because they are made of wood. We're looking for metal bases, like jar lids or altoid tins. For example, I have a pickle jar lid that is just under 3.5" in diameter, and this is about as big as we'd want to go with a round lid. The idea is that (once returns are received) the recipient can use a sturdy magnet to stick the jar lid to their refrigerator (and not have to glue it on unless they wanted to.) Hope that helps!

Oh, that’s why the tin base, so the magnet doesn’t have to be glued on! So probably wouldn’t want to cover the back with felt or cardstock, just paint it...right?

I'm attaching a piccy for you, CiCi.

I've just been painting mine, since you're not going to see the backs anyway. However, I personally like a "finished" backside (that sounds dirty.) So, I still used nice papers, tape and accents to keep the back on theme. Folks may still want to glue magnets on...as some of the pieces may be heavy, or maybe the metal has aluminum and doesn't "stick" as much as desired. Leaving the metal mostly exposed/painted in some way sounds like a good idea. But recipients will always have the option of using e6000 to glue the magnets on, so don't let too many rules interfere with your creative process.
