At the top of this page there is the title to this thread:
Thread: ATART--Come PLAY Create-Trade-Share-Chat September 24-26
Underneath this line and to the right there is a drop down menu that says "Thread Tools". (On my computer it is in a grey box)
click on the words "Thread Tools" and within the drop down menu select "subscribe to this thread." Follow the directions/selections.
To find your subscribed threads click on "settings" that is top right of this page.
Then on the left had side of your screen locate the word "subscriptions." Click on that word and your subscriptions will show up in a list.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Everyone is very helpful!

You also get automatically subscribed by posting in the thread… No need to do it manually, (unless is a setting I changed…?)

That's interesting. I may have changed that setting . . . hmmm. Now I'm wondering and I have no memory - which is not a surprise.
I always have do it manually - also I'm on an Apple computer. Sometimes things work differently . . .

Oh, good...now I know how to bookmark! (No, I'd never figured it out.)
I think we have 13 hours to go, but math was never my best subject.

Now I know why sniisk's Challenge Hunts always start at 10pm, not midnight for me - she is going by New Zealand time!
I show that we have just over 7.5 hours before we can start (2.20pm for me in Queensland, Australia)

I'm antsy to start! And kind of tempted to stay up to kick it in, but I better not, but remember, you can start the minute it's the 24th somewhere.
Questions people can answer or not...
What are you working on these days?
I've been doing a lot more mixed media in large part because the $1.25 store sells craft supplies. I'm much more generous with paint when I didn't spend a fortune on it. It's very basic, essentially student grade, but since I'm just doing accents and borders, it's fine and I am willing to use it. (I'm the kind of person who buys a pretty journal because I can't wait to write in it and then I decide it's too pretty to write in....)
I've also been making a lot of postcards and I find I like moving back and forth between those and atcs. For one thing, because I never really got into chunkies, I have a lot of collage ephemera that was too big for atcs, but I also knew I would someday need, so that's been good.
What's something artistic you would like to try if you get brave enough?
I'd love to do assemblage someday. And once again I do have some stuff I've saved. It intimidates me, though. I've thought maybe I should take a class, but it would need to be with other intimidated people. Maybe it could be Intimidated Artists Anonymous. We could all agree not only to be kind, but not to tell other people the disasters we witnessed in the class.
Art or otherwise, has anything good happened to you this year?
I've just recently re-connected with a friend. Just through calls and emails because her daughter is very immunocompromised. But after the last couple of years, isn't it fun to have something good happen?!

Hi Cynthia, thanks for hosting this. I just completed a couple atc for the MMH and PIF threads. First atcs I have made in some time.
My something good is that I am using some of the huge stash of dies and stamps I haven't been able to resist buying. I have all the Thanksgiving cards made for my family already done. I have made a few Halloween and even a couple Christmas cards too.

See, you did need them!
And being ahead of schedule is great, though you're better at holidays than I am. I just do Christmas and I have decided on the design and bought the supplies, but I didn't start working on them this summer the way I wanted to. A friend told me that creative people are like computers with lots of browser windows open and it's certainly true of me. Sometimes I have to keep myself away from the swap forum because the next thing I know I'm like.... "yes, I do need to make cards of aardvarks in Mardi Gras colors..."

LOL I agree. I am so bad. My resolution was to make birthday cards and such to send out to family this year. My brother got his card, and made 4 cards for my grandchildren all their birthdays are clumped together. But nobody else got one, even my husband is still waiting 4 months late. Now I have some more generic birthday cards made for some cousins and such.

I would be ready to start but we have 6 hours to go. I hope I will have some time also tomorrow.

Hello! I'm going to try to be here. I love these! Every time lately I've said I'd participate, something comes up... Soooooo, I'll "try" to be here and maybe I'll actually get here. After that long spill... I love the prompts and pink is my favorite color! Totems ... I have a few that I relate to so maybe I can get some created of those.
I've been working on my drawings. I'm just taking it up after wanting to for some time. And I've been making mini journals, and a few other things.
I would love to learn how to knit. I can crochet a little, cross-stitch, embroidery but never learned how to. So, that's a goal of mine.
Hope to be here with y'all some!

"yes, I do need to make cards of aardvarks in Mardi Gras colors..."
maybe this could be added to the prompt list!?

It is after midnight on Sept 24 in New Zealand. I think we can start. Although I don't have time this morning, but hope to do something this afternoon.

Hi everybody. Well I got about 5 hours sleep so I might have to nap later. My husband had to get up this morning, and when it woke me I immediately thought A-THON! The first thing I need to do is clear up my gallery and make sure I still have all the cards I am offering. Sometimes I will toss in extras on a trade and forget to remove it. Also I should clean up my PMs so it doesn't get full.
