Cool! 3” sounds so sweet. I don’t know why, but I just love tiny things. For some reason, I had the impression that they were 6-8 inches long, just in the body, and filled with sand?! I see that was inaccurate as well. My interest grows. I’m excited to find out about the theme…

No sand, don’t know where you saw that! Light polyester stuffing, or even cotton balls, makes them very soft. I have seen (I even have one) pincushions stuffed with sand because it’s supposed to keep the pins and needles sharp.

I never heard of them but just checked out some videos. Looks like fabric and not paper this time...I might give it a whirl.

I like the fact that the word doe T means Friendship.

Here are my first 3 articulated Christmas dolls-
    "Reindeer Games"
"Sparkly Cat Toy" - this would be representing my cat (and probably every one's cat) who loved to smack around the ornaments
    "Make mine an iced latte"

This final one is the one I'm worried about (in hindsight). The articulation is that the dog moves, the tree falls over and the star falls off. The dog itself isn't articulated (like her arms and legs are all stationary). If this doesn't fit the bill please send it back and I'll create a new one for you as a hostie.
Here is the story behind this one. We used to have a cavalier spaniel named Daisy. She loved everything in life (including dum dum suckers, but that's another story). One evening we were sitting in the living room and the Christmas tree started to shake a little bit. Then it shook more, like we were having an earthquake, and a few ornaments fell off. We got up to investigate and the tree started to tip... Our sweet little Daisy dog had discovered that the bottom branches of the tree were at the PERFECT height for a good back scratching! What a wonderful thing. There was no stopping her so we weighted down the base a little bit and just accepted that she would be under there walking back and forth scratching her back. It became a special family Christmas memory.

ZZ, thanks for showing us your first paperdoll, he’s wonderful!

Haagmm, those paperdolls are great! Love them all, and especially the doggie and Christmas tree and the story that goes with it. (Wow, I just got an idea! Too late for this year, but someone should host a swap for special Christmas memories illustrated. I bet there are a lot of them to share.)

Trying to show my cards but

I don't know how the add image thing works here, so you might not be seeing them. (This bulletin board is possiblly the worst UI I've dealt with in past 20 years.). Had fun doing the cards, tho!

Makitso, I love them! They are so cute, funny, and well done! Love the little stories that accompany them as well, so glad you could play!

I am so sorry but I fell very, very far behind and didn't finish my dolls in time to mail. I have to withdraw.

Paperdolls have been received from Makitso, Haagmm, and Art_junkie. That’s everyone! Signup date is past, and I have received dolls from everyone signed up, so I can start swapping anytime now. Will let you know when that happens.
