I have a craft table prepared at our summer house. Well, we call it a summer house but we live there all weekends and free time. We'll drive there on Friday after school. Hilla has an autumn vacation next week and we don't need to come back to the city too soon.

So excited!!!
I have sent my husband off to play tennis for the night so that I can get the task list and plan, with all my supplies strewn across the floor for inspiration.

Just over 4.5 hours to go by my calculation

I will be driving a car when we should start so I will publish the tasks a bit earlier.

I will be heading from work to home in an hour. Then pack the car and pick up Hilla from school. Then driving to the countryside. I may be offline some hours but will be back later today. And our crafting spot is ready and waiting for us.

And I packed some extra art supplies . We need to buy enough easy cooking food for this weekend. I'm not going to spend time in the kitchen!

Interactive Skeleton # ???

So there is a bit of a story behind this one. About a month ago someone posted the pattern for this type of interactive card on the main Facebook trading page.I wanted to make a card using my Cricut cutting machine (I'll post a few of those later) but since the pattern requires VERY PRECISE cutting and folding, and precision is NOT something that comes easily for me, it took me about a dozen attempts to get a working card...and it wasn't using the Cricut.

I made a spooky colláge card for one of the swaps and gave up on the idea for a few weeks. (Inktober!)

Then I decided to try it again. This time I created just the ATC shape and the "X" cut on the Cricut. It took another dozen attempts, but I finally got something this is "close enough."

The third piece of the puzzle: I kept trying to make a card that looks good on the front and on the back. That might work with a colláge... but an HD card that has a bit of a story would need to be viewed from the front only. Once I came up with the skeleton design, I was very happy. I am keeping the "prototype." My grandson Adam got "Interactive Skeleton #2" and an Instagram friend requested "Interactive Skeleton #3.

Adam's card was made by fastening a heavier paper over the basic pattern, but I decided that a thin simple card is... um.... simpler. The Instagram link below shows Adam's card. If you request one for yourself, it will, of course, have the variations that go along with a hand-drawn card. And it will just have one layer of cardstock. But I would be happy to make as many "Interactive Skeletons" as requested.
