As we draw towards party season (due date is New Year's Eve) I want to see your characters in party mode, specifically in their party hats. Characters can be human, animal or fantastical. Hats can be as simple as a coloured paper crown from a cracker to more elaborate creations with streamers on top.
Hats do not have to be for seasonal parties, can be birthday, Easter or any other celebration.
Just have fun! This is a hand drawn/ hand painted swap and art must be your own original work.
Card Rules-
1. All cards must be hand drawn or hand painted. No bulky embellishments. You may use mixed media, craft papers etc as long as your actual character is hand drawn hand painted. For example a card with a collage/stamped background or craft paper hat with a hand drawn and painted character. The actual character MUST be hand drawn/hand painted.
2. Cards must be correctly sized with straight edges 2.5 x 3.5 inches, (rounded corners however are ok, I use a die to cut my cards and they all have rounded corners), make sure that they are neither flimsy, or extra thick. Please check and measure your cards before sending, (it is harder to rectify these problems after I have received your cards).
3. Cards must be fully coloured (no white backgrounds)
4. Please include your username, real name and the swap name on the back of your cards along with any other info you wish to add.
5. Host cards will be treasured should you wish to include one, but are not a requirement to take part.
6. Where possible I will exchange effort for effort and like for like cards to the best of my ability and dependant on cards received. Do your best work.
Postage info
1. The due date is 31st December. Please be mindful that I am in the UK so allow plenty of time for posting to me. We have been having some postal strikes so my advice is to send as early as possible. Any late cards will be returned to senders. Ideally try and get these made and sent off asap if you are not in the UK.
2. Please pm me when you are ready for my address to send your cards.
3. Please package your cards carefully to ensure they reach me undamaged, and send in individual plastic ATC sleeves. I will need a large return address label or piece of paper with your address on it, I will supply my own envelopes.
4. UK players please send either a first or second class stamp for return postage.
International players please send either $2 USA, a USA global forever stamp or contact me to pay via paypal. No other countries stamps are useful to me.

Do the party hats have to be Christmas or New Year related? I am interested in joining but I started my cards and have four different "holiday" parties.

Yes, all of those would be perfect for this swap! Easter, Chinese New Year, Christmas, divorce party, halloween, birthday, absolutely any type of party hat just have fun I have now updated the original description.
My own cards are birthday party hats so far but I want to come up with something completely different for my last card.
