The 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour - my grandfather was a private in the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe; I've got his diary from that time. I'll try to join in as much as I can while I'm in L.A. helping my mom.

I remember having to stand in class at school and bow our heads in silence for a minute at 11am on Nov 11. There are now announcements in quite a few shopping centres asking people to observe the minute's silence.

Australia goes with Canada in calling it Remembrance Day - poppies are sold in many shopping centres in the weeks leading up to it.

i'll try to play. I'm a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary, thanks to my grandfather's service in the Navy in WWII. See you all in there!

Thanks for the invite. DH is a Vietnam Navy vet, son was in the AF. I am doing an online seminar this weekend but I figure I can do that with my headphones and do art at the same time. Worth a try anyway.

Well, we have good news and bad news. My daughter is having a flu that means we are not going anywhere. We might then have some time for crafting but I think we are spending most of our time by making a beauty salon for her Barbie.

I try to take some pictures later. We are having fun with our projects .

Here is our project so far. A simple corner with a table, a self and plenty of small items. And everything made from trash that means I haven't bought anything else than glue and paint.
