NOVEMBER Weird Holidays Swap -- Due DEC. 17, 2022
Swap Due Date – Dec. 17, 2022 Sign-up-by date – None Withdraw-by date – None; just communicate Number of Items – 3 for 3 Number of participants: Unlimited Media: Open (except for exclusively digital and photography)
Who knew November could be so weird? Some examples: You can celebrate World Jellyfish Day (Nov. 3), Marooned Without a Compass Day (Nov. 6), National Button Day (Nov. 16) or Pumpkin Pie Day (Nov. 21). How about Turtle Adoption Day (Nov. 27), No-Shave November (the whole month) or Geography Awareness Week (week of Nov. 17)?
Check out the list of bizarre holidays on Checkiday (my personal favorite), HolidayInsights or TimeandDate. If you have another reference source, feel free to use it. Choose any 3 holidays or commemorative weeks/months, and create 3 different ATCs that celebrate the weirdness.

I'm mostly an abstract artist but I've been trying to push myself by choosing some swaps where I would have to do some slightly more realistic work. (I figure that I can't expect my students to push themselves if I don't push myself!) So I chose this one to try. But I'll admit to being a little nervous. So I made my first one today and I'm proud of myself! Not perfect AT ALL, but reasonable! And, as someone who is still trying to figure out this ATC thing - I'm pretty happy with myself!
Kudos to you for stretching yourself. And I like what you created too.

Great start Jen! This is a fun swap to start stretching yourself (I'm pretty sure last year's Nov Weird Holidays was my first attempt with this group, too).
Sign me up please! I have been thinking about this one for a while, and I just took a look at all the silly holidays in November. I've got some great ideas!!!!
This was a fun challenge and I will mail them the first of the week!! Along with the "Visit A Museum Day" that I already posted, I chose "Pumpkin Pie Day" and "Manatee Appreciation Month"!!
