Impromptu Pre-Christmas/Winter a-thon December 3-6

Hi all! I have a free weekend, a long one, and I decided to make some Christmas ATCs. Let's have an impromptu a-thon on December 3-6 that means it has already started!

I will make mostly Christmas and winter related cards but no limits and everyone and everything is welcome .

General a-thon info (for all ATARTs)

What IS an ATART?
It’s an All Types of ART marathon where you can create art, made over the same time in each time zone. This thread is going to be our crafting room.

HOW IT WORKS:
Start creating art when it's time to start, then upload your lovely creations to your Athon gallery and post to the thread. Trading and chatting are going on all the time.
After all the trading is done move your creations OUT of the Athon Gallery and into their correct Galleries - 'Available ATCs' or 'Mail Art'

HOW TO ASK FOR A TRADE:
When you find a piece of art you would like to trade, please SEND A PERSONAL MESSAGE (PM) to that person asking for a trade. Please DO NOT post requests for trades to the thread. It can get way too confusing.

Note: If you do make a trade, please be sure to send to your trade partner within two weeks. If you’re running late, communicate!

WANT TO COMPLIMENT AN ARTIST:
And you will… remember you can click the You Rock button and leave it there or just simply click Like button.

HOW TO POST YOUR ART TO THE THREAD:

From your atcsforall.com gallery:
It’s easiest to have two windows open.
1) Go to your gallery and copy the image location
2) Go to your post and paste the copied text
3) and then you're done.

Remember that images from the gallery can be small, medium or large. Find the word in the address and change it to the size you want.

From your computer:
1. Click POST REPLY at the bottom of the messages screen. Above the message box, click the paperclip next to the smiley face. Then upload as usual. This will upload your picture as a thumbnail.
2. If you go into the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the messages screen, click GO ADVANCED and you will get the paperclip above the message box.

My father came to pick up my daughter and they will make plenty of Christmas preparations this weekend. Hilla will be back on Tuesday evening. That means I have three days just for myself.

Oh, what FUN!

I love the title of this ATART!

I hope that I will NOT have any time to make ATCs today. I am sitting at a table in the mall from 11:00 to 5:00, trying to get interest enough to form a local ATC group at the Topeka Art Guild. If this gets good response, I won't have time to paint cards. Yesterday I was there from 11:00 to 8:00 and had only a few people drop by... but those few made it all worth while. Oh, how I have missed working with kids. Only two young girls stopped at the table to make art, but one was so incredibly delighted with the opportunity that it made the whole day worthwhile.

Well, I'm going to cheat a bit and post one card that I made earlier in the week and one card that is already traded but fits the theme. I hope to make more of the "Breton Village in the Snow" cards: a study of the painting by Paul Gauguin.
I really struggled with this one, and it is a bit overworked, but I was pleased in the end.

Ok technically this was made yesterday but I have all the pieces ready for more - I’m putting these little twinchies in holiday cards this year, I’ve made 9 or 10 so far (all similar). I’ll work on other art though and post more later.
