I put in a big order to Dick Blick - so I should have some new toys for myself arriving soon. You will see them when I begin creating: especially the white pearlescent paint which I’ll probably use for painting snow and snowflakes. I’m thinking of snow scenes, maybe with animals. I completely used up my original sample-sized container.

I have just been watching the horrible weather in parts of the US.
As I am bracing for a high 80F day my prayers go to all those who are fighting snow and hail - stay safe everyone.

It is unseasonably cold here this year but at least there is no snow or other harsh weather that is hitting a lot of other places. It's supposed to warm up again very soon. My prayers are with those who are adversely affected by bad weather, as well.
Merry Christmas, all.

I hope everyone is safe where ever they are! And are having relaxing holidays.
It has been a weird start of the winter here. We got snow in November (normally it happen a bit after Christmas) and had it about 20 inches in a week. More and more snowing daily. And usually we have maybe 28F here in December but now we had a week with -13F. I haven't even been thinking of what it has been in the Northern Finland. But we are safe here and everything has been working normally all the time.

We’ve had a touch of snow, a bit of cold and now rain, but I say bah! to the weather because I can stay home and play with art!
It's another beautiful day!

We had freezing rain, snow and high winds that knocked out power for many, but we prepared early and were able to stay home during the worst of the storm here . The mailman actually delivered mail in the thick of it. The Great Lakes region had it worse.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Santa brought me some washi tape and a Keurig , so I’m even more ready for the ATHON

We were at the edge of the storm - lots of rain, a little sleet and snow and then our temperature went from 47 Fahrenheit to 18 in 24 hours. Our front yard is a skating rink but salt on the driveway kept it clear and safe. This is day three that the temperature will not go above freezing but tomorrow that is supposed to change. We are fine but it has been challenging and unsafe for so many and the snow is still falling in some places.

We were snowed in most of last week with temps just above freezing ... and then Friday we got freezing rain on top of the (9 inches) snow. Early Saturday morning the temps went up to 40s and rain continued so everything started melting, and we still are getting rain and it's low 50s! And now floods are being forecast. Rain is normal for us, sustained snow and low temps is not normal... or at least it hasn't been. This climate is a-changing!
Edited to add, we are blessed to have a house to keep us warm and safe. Many are not as fortunate.

Glad that everyone who is checking in is doing ok in spite of the weird weather.
Somnia - Keurig coffee and washi tape - sounds like you are all set!
I did get some backgrounds cut today. Getting ready to play some Jackbox with the nephews.

Happy 50% off chocolate day.

I helped. *nods lots*
For once, the storms missed Utah, though we got colder temps and we already had a lot of snow on the ground.
I'm finishing up swaps, so I can play in this. Just cleaned out my inbox and sent box.

Hey there, everyone! I'm still around, here and there. It's been a pretty horrible holiday season for us, so I need some happy time. Hoping to join in a bit with the ATART, although we're going away this Friday for our 22nd anniversary - spending Friday - Sunday at a B&B in Friday Harbor (those of you in Washington, if you've been there, any suggestions for restaurants?). At least the weather will be a lot better than last week! Like so many others, we were snowed & iced in for a couple of days, but nothing but rain and cloudy days expected now. My husband gave me lots of art toys for Christmas so I'll take some along on our trip and see what I can do.

We didn't have any chocolate! We usually get it from someone but not this time. So we didn't have it all.

I got a new Christmas punch (a tree), some ribbons and papers. I'm ready to use them.

Nice to hear that you are all doing well! I'm looking forward to play with you. It was so much fun last year! Unfortunatly I have to clean up my studio first. As soon as I can find my desk, I'm ready to start.
Sounds easy, but it's not. I start cleaning, then I find something interesting....and the next moment I make more mess.
