~ Luv Julie Nutting Dolls? Chat, Trade or just Show & Share your Julie Nutting Dolls

Do you love Julie Nutting Dolls? Then this thread is for you,
Chat, Trade or just Show & Share your Julie Nutting Dolls
and projects with all of us.

Hi everybody, I was gifted the beautiful Julie Nutting Rita Doll stamp by Prima a few years back. I was so excited I then ordered some others. But if you know me, it will be no surprise that I still haven't really used them. Then a couple days ago I stumbled on a you tube and got inspired again. Julie now has some stamp sets with changeable hair styles and the dress as a separate stamp. I things these dolls are labeled as mixed media. I have ordered two of these named Neesha and Halie.

So to get me inspired I thought I would start a thread. It is not a swap, everyone is welcome. I would really love to see what you are doing with your dolls. And if people wish to make ATCs, Dolls or other art to trade that would be awesome.

    RULES ....
    • Chat and Show your projects
    • Make any kind or size project using Julie Nutting style dolls

      FOR TRADES ....
Trades are done as private trades, use private messages to confirm and get mailing info. GIVE itrader when you receive the trade.
    • Put the word AVAILABLE or TRADED as the first word in your post. This helps in searching the thread. Example is when you pull up all posts under a username, you only see part of the first line of each post.
    • Please Give information like size and medias used with anything you offer to trade.
    • ALL trades are worked out as private trades between the two participants. There is no obligation to accept a trade request.
    • If turning down a trade request be nice. AND if you are turned down please remember that some people may be more selective in what they are collecting and it is not meant to be mean to you.

How could I forget I also have the Julie Nutting "Besties" mermaids stamp. Does anyone know if the two little outfits I have on the left of my photo have a doll stamp that wears them? I just found the clothes on sale and thought they would work on a clothes line.

AVAILABLE - I have a doll for trade in my gallery!

    Fern

I made Fern using the Marisol stamp and the additional clothing stamps. Her skin and hair were colored with color pencils and there are a few glitter glue accents to her clothing. The flower in her hair was created with a small punch.

Oh Kristin she is so cute! So she is pieced with separate papers for the clothes and shoes? There are so many ways to do these dolls.

Hi LeonardaDeArtsi. If you are interested, I would search you tube etc

And if your not sure you could start with a planner set.they have small dolls, little accessories and words that could be used on bookmarks, tags or maybe not the whole doll on atcs.

This is so interesting. These dolls are darling, and I’m with Leonarda, haven’t heard of them before. I will have to check them out and see where to purchase the stamps.

Hi CiCi Scrapbook.com has them. And I thought of you since you can decorate with fabric lace etc. But mailing will be more difficult if you trade them.

Yes, you do know me. I thought of using lace (even paper lace), fabrics and ribbon right away. Maybe if I try to only do very flat things, it would be ok.

I ordered the two dolls Neesha and Halie. I think I will have them Monday. They have multiple pieces to play with hair style and two dresses. All separate stamps to make it easier to use different papers or embellish the dress d before putting it on the doll

Actually I just went back online and realized most of the dolls say mixed media. I thought it w was just the ones with multiple options.

I think a doll could be stamped on thinner paper and then using a light table you could drag your own clothes. I plan to do that with Marisol the one in the tiny dress.

Well the last two days I have been spending any freetime I have on JN dolls. But I only have two fully done, and I keep forgetting to scan them.

The rest of the time I have stamped a lot of dolls, I'm coloring hair and skin. Stamped and fussy cut several outfits for mostly the small planner dolls. Did some shading which is a learning process. Used some stickles and glossy accents.

Then I stopped and hunted through my stash, filling several smaller boxes with papers I may use. I foud I have severa geli print papers that will work. I have also been searching doll images online and getting screenshots of my favs. I see some Disney dolls in my future so I had to find my tracing paper to do clothing sketches.

And I was looking for the flat acetate type pieces I have saved from packages to use. I will draw and cut out the simpler shapes without much detail. Then I can use them to trace onto the clothing papers and will only have to add little details freehand. The mor intricate pieces I can just trace with a light table. I probably transfer those onto translucent yupo so the wil last longer than tracing paper.

Hope we get more people joining us, it has been quiet.

I bought Madeline and Keira around Christmastime, but I haven't even taken the plastic off.

I like the hat and eyelashes stamps in the Madeline pack. Thanks for the reminder to pull these out and use them! My goal for this year is to use what I have.

I'd like to try napkin decoupage for some of the clothes. I'm thinking if I stamp onto white paper, decoupage, then cut it out it will work. Here's hoping!

If anyone would like to trade for these plain stamped JN doll images on white paper, I'm happy to trade.

Oh napkins sound fantastic! I have a bunch of geli prints I am not wild about but can definitely find portions to use for my dolls. And I have several sheets of printed paper that came in some craft magazines, last year I made myself use some for cards. But I think I would be happier using them as clothes.

I orderd Keira, but I do love your Madeline. Sometime, hopefully by Friday I am going to get a bunch of new dolls in the mail.
