Thanks!!! I'm sincere, I adore them too since I saw the movie! Disney made an awesome work creating them!
When the other 3 coins popped in my mind, at firts the 4 was missed, then I got the silly idea to add them! Really glad you like!

I went to the post office yesterday to mail my coins. I had an international stamp and an extra ounce stamp because the way I packed the coins made the envelope a little lumpy. So I asked the post office lady if I had enough postage for Canada. She wanted to know what I was mailing and I said it’s 7 paper coins. She said I had to fill out a customs form because it was a package, not a letter. I said it’s paper like a letter. She said but it’s not a letter, it’s an item so it requires a customs form. (I started thinking ugly things about the post office) Well I told her I didn't have my glasses so couldn’t fill it out. She told me to take the form with me and fill it out at home. So I did. I went back to have the same lady tell me that not only was it going to cost $14.75 to mail my envelope, they weren’t able to connect with the server to log my customs form in but I could go to the downtown office and mail it there. Well, I was so mad after that, I had to go to PetCo and pet a few animals. That calmed me down so I could think and I went back home with a plan to actually mail my coins today. I took them all out of the original envelope, took the WASHI tape off that I had wrapped around them and put them in a round robin holder. Now the envelope is stiff but flat and not over-heavy. I put an international stamp on and nothing extra. I guess we will see who gets them, me or Beverley. If they come back, I will let you know. I didn’t take them back to the post office. I mailed them in the outgoing mailbox right outside my apartment. Probably what I should have done to begin with. Did OrigamiGrace have to have a customs document? I’ve never encountered that before with an envelope.

I feel your pain, Maggie. Sadly, regardless of postal rules, things get interpreted by people, and then different postal employees will tell you different things. I ran into a similar problem while sending odd-sized postcards. Some got delivered just fine, some were returned, and some had to be re-sent with more postage. For this swap, I sent 4 thick coins with an international stamp and an extra regular stamp. The envelope weighed just over an ounce if memory serves. If yours get returned, you probably just need to account for extra weight...not package rate. Here's hoping the Universe gives them safe passage to Beverly.

P.S. for Bev...My coins headed your way yesterday.

    Well that's just crazy!
I have NEVER needed a customs slip for an envelope sent to the US. The Post Office here does have its issues too, but it is mostly how the employees interpret things.
I'm so sorry that you had to jump through hoops to get your coins to me; I have faith that they will arrive here with little trouble. *fingers crossed*

Silver lining: I got to meet a lovely black and white pit bull girl named Gypsy. No better way to calm the nerves than to get close to animals.

Well, that's a bummer! Mine went in the mail on the 28th with 1 International stamp & I wrote "papercraft no value" on the envelope edge. I hope it gets to Beverly without a shortage of postage.

One International stamp should do it, unless it's on the heavy/thick side, then I would use 2.
Buy the stamps, stick them on and mail them in the mailbox; and by-pass the Post Office!!
I'm sure they will all arrive without a hitch

    Thank you!

Alanacat : Your mail box is full, so I can't PM you! To answer your question: You can double them if you like. I used cardstock, and just put a pretty paper on the back.
Can't wait to see what you create!!
