    So you want one napkin design per group and you want at least 8 of those.

    I'd like to be in groups 1 and 2.

    And now I have to choose which napkins are coming to you. I might be the queen of napkins as I have 8 each of many designs.

    Wherever I am, if I see napkins I like, I buy them. Kitchen stores carry good napkins. Some grocery stores do, too. Our favorite plant nursery sells napkins at Christmas time. Our favorite antique store also sells napkins. I even have some bird ones from New Zealand.

    Boy, they can sound so pitiful, right Nancy? My little ShiTzu bangs his empty dish against the wall - sometimes just before I want to go to bed at night!

    NancyL - I had thought that each player would send the same pattern or print but I don’t guess it has to be that way.

    My husband thought it would be easier to just send you cash for postage. I thought you would have left over cash but it actually cost $5.10 to mail my envelope of napkins. However, your postage might be less as you will only send me 16 napkins and no host ones. also because of thickness, the PO treated my envelope as a small package.
    But anyway, they are on thier way and maybe there by Saturday.

    what a fabulous idea. I have just started playing with napkins, so I do not have enough for this swap, but i'll check back when I have more, and see if there is another napkin swap :-)

    Tafkabecky: most of us are buying a package for each category we are joining. Then after the swap you will have a stash of 8-10 different decorative napkins instead of 8-10 of the same picture/pattern.

    Mine are packaged up to go to the post office today. Some were easy to remove the extra layers; others resisted!

    blue with birds and flowers = G1
    lemons = G2
    coral = G3
    all are iHR

    I bought these full packs at the Linen Chest.

    There's a Canadian company called Ninny's Napkins that sells mixed packs online. That's usually where I go for napkins. She does ship to the US, but the shipping charge can be significant unless you order a bunch of stuff.

    Now I need to do some stamping on these white layers I removed to make some collage fodder : )

    I'm looking forard to the returns for this swap! I love napkins : )

    Yes, we’re left with all those white removed layers! I didn’t want to throw mine away either. I figured I could always use them as blotter pads for my watercolor brushes. But your suggested use sounds a lot more creative! Has anyone else thought of other ways to use our discarded plies?

    I love the idea of using the leftovers as fodder. I've used them as blotters, but I hadn't really thought about incorporating them in art. I bet you could get interesting gelliplate effects on them.

    I'm just curious as to how people sent their napkins? Did you put them in baggies?

    I joined all three groups and put each set of 10 in a sandwich baggie, identified them with a sharpie, and sent them out in a 6x9 envelope, first class, for $5.10.
