I want to create a hand-drawn hand-painted zoo with those that wish to participate. The first exhibit has three enclosures, the elephants, the rhino's and now the Tapir's. This swap will complete the first enclosure we encounter after coming through the entrance gates. Let's continue our zoo experience by drawing Tapir's. What is a Tapir? Tapirs are large mammals that look like wild hogs with anteater snouts. In reality, tapirs are neither, and they are most closely related to horses and rhinos. Indeed, tapirs are a bit of a hodge-podge. They are about the size of a donkey. They have round bodies, short legs and stubby tails, sort of like a hippo. Their eyes and ears are small. They have four toes on each front foot and three toes on each back foot, according to the San Diego Zoo.
Other animals to follow in future swaps. You can use watercolor, pens, pencils, colored pencils, acrylics and or oils.
You can have 1 tapir on each card or more than one it's up to you. Maybe have an adult and a baby? Whatever you would like to see in your zoo! Your animals need to be draw realistic and in a zoo or free range setting, after all this is the start of a fantastic new zoo!

I was in a sort of Tapir mood today, so this is what I came up with:
Attachment 238474 Baird's Tapir (Tapirus bairdii), also called Central American tapir. Native to Mexico, Central America, and northwestern South America
Attachment 238475 Malayan Tapir (Tapirus indirus), also called Asian tapir, Asiatic tapir, Oriental tapir, and Indian tapir. Native to Southeast Asia, from Malay Peninsula to Sumatra.
Attachment 238476 South American Tapir (Tapirus terrestras), also called Brazilian tapir. the Amazonian tapir or lowland tapir. Found in the Amazon rainforest, and river basin in South America, east of the Andes.
Attachment 238477 Young South American Tapir (Tapirus terrestras). Newborns have a dark brown coat with small white spots and stripes along the body.
