UNICORNS for JUNICORNS SWAP
Unicorns are, with dragons, one of the most ancient fantasy creatures, and have a wide variety of appearance! From the lizard on the Ishtar Gates, to the donkey or oryx described by ancient latin and greek naturalists, in Eastern cultures they are a mix of deer, koi carp scales, tigers and more. Think to the large variety of images painted during all the Middle Age and Reinassence: they spaced from horse to deer, passing also throught those little lap-dog sized creatures!
And the modern age showed us the elegant Amalthea by P. Beagle with the "Last Unicorn", or robotic and cyborg designs.
With or without wings, naturally colored or full of colors, maybe they could also come frome the dark side of a fantasy realm... Don't limit your immagination: let your Muse free to inspire you and try to imagine your personal vision of a unicorn! They can be hidden just around you, gifting good luck and wellness, strenght and courage!

No white background, please, even if "medieval" or araldic patterns can be ok, if they're made by you like the examples!

Packing and Mailing:

• Send 3 original HD/HP ATCs (measuring 2.5” x 3.5”) made by You for this Swap.
No prints, re-swapped, commercial or ancient/modern paintings images, please.

• Please, try to create things which you would love to receive.

• A 4th “hostie” ATC would be treasured with love, but is not required. Please don’t let the host card be a factor in your decision to play or not.

• Please include your username, real name, Country, date and swap title on the back of each card.

• Each card must be placed in an individual plastic/vinil sleeve for protection.

• Please share your finished cards in this thread and in your Gallery: tell us more about them and how you got the idea to create them.

• Feel free to comment on those you like: we all like positive feedbacks!


Mailing:

• Please include a large, clearly printed address label.

• I will cover postage. I would appreciate a US Global Forever Stamp if you are able to include one as I can use these to participate in US swaps. If you don't have access to these, don't worry, is not a requirement.

• I'll provide all the envelopes and, if needed, an extra protective sturdy base for fix them on.

• PM me when you are ready to mail. If you have already my address from a previous trade, is still same.
NOTE: I'm in ITALY. Consider to allow at least 3 weeks for letting the cards arrive to me. Usually they require less, but we all know postal services. Cards which do not arrive by the deadline will be returned: I want be an "in time" hostess.

• Once You've received your cards, leave an iTrader for me, your host, and Reputation Points via this Swap thread for the Artists who created the cards you've received.

Welcome between lurkers!

Well, for answer:
1. Junicorn is another version of Inktober, as Mermay is for mermaids drawn during May, Smaugust is for dragons during August, jumped out unicorns during June... I don't invented them, they jumped out here and there in Artists communities!

2. Yes, You're right, the lion-unicorn has the white background cause it is made in black and white. I posted it mostly cause it is a different version or vision of unicorns, based on my language, italian, where unicorns are sometime also called "leocorns", (leo = latin for lion, cause in araldic they sometime have the lion tail, but this is only one possible explanation for the term). I'm for a colored background, maybe patterned as in the other examples, but no white backgrounds, if possible. A monochromatic one would be fine...
