I'm an Albertan at heart--does that count? Born in Fort Macleod, raised near Edmonton (in Spruce Grove), first degree at University of Lethbridge. And my heart is still there. And my childhood best friends. And my beloved grandma.
But now I'm in Ottawa, so no local meetups for me!!

This is about a live trade in Calgary. Everyone is welcome:
11th ANNIVERSARY OF ARTIST TRADING CARDS
DATE: Saturday, September 27, 2008
Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
Place: ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design)
1407 - 14 Avenue NW - in the Cafeteria
The C-train stops right at ACAD.
This is a very special evening celebrating ELEVEN YEARS OF TRADING ATCs
in Calgary! A fun evening with lots of trading. We hope former or casual
ATC traders will join us for this fun celebration and we welcome new traders.
THREE HOURS OF TRADING! Make LOTS of cards! We are hoping for a great
crowd ...... Bring a friend with you who is interested in the world wide phenomena
of ATC trading.

ART SUPPLIES EXCHANGE. Check out your stash of unused art supplies. See

students at ACAD.

The trade event in Calgary sounds like fun...there doesn't seem to be as much live trading going on in Edmonton. Someday I'd like to go to a big live trade, its something I've never had the chance to do!

Oooo...I am definitely an Albertan! And I am totally jealous of the really great live trade they are planning on the west coast next June *lol*
I'd love to plan a simular thing for western Canada/US if there was enough interest?...

I'm friends with the manager of a craft store here in Red Deer, we could probably arrange to use the workroom in the back where they teach scrapbooking classes.
