CHUNKY SWAP: Fasteners~Dapper Dan with a twist (***ADULT THEME***) -Due Aug. 15
Do you remember playing with a Dapper Dan doll as a kid? You know…the one where you would unbutton, unzip, unlace the fasteners on the doll? Well, I thought it would be fun to host a chunky page swap that is inspired by Dapper Dan dolls but with an adult twist.
In this swap, create chunky pages that include some kind of operable fasteners. But keep the theme more on the adult side vs. child side. What comes to mind is a corset top with lacing, a garter belt with fasteners, a little red dress with a zipper. The card should be decorated such that when the fastener is undone, it reveals a decorated card underneath. Get the picture?
FANTASTIC examples done by ODDBREED!
Policy on nudity
"This is an art site. Artistic nudity is acceptable. This includes male and female genitalia and representations of genitalia. Our age of registration is 18. Pornography is not acceptable.
Erotica swaps should be handled with attachments in the swap forum, or placed in the Adult Art Gallery so they don't go through the Regular gallery.
No erotic child nudity. No child sexual references."
When you are finished with your cards, please post them to this thread as inspiration for others!
Guidelines- Chunky pages must be 4" x 4"
- Keep the left 1/2" margin free of embellishments and unpunched.
- Use a sturdy material for the base such as chipboard, cardboard cereal boxes, grungeboard and heavy watercolor paper.
- Each card must include some kind of fastener (tie, button, hook and eye, etc.).
- On a decorated page back, be sure to include the swap name, your name and username (so that You Rock! rep points can be given) and your location.
- Finally, I would be totally thrilled and honored to receive a host page, but one is not expected or required.
Mailing and postage- When you are ready to mail your cards, PM me for my address.
- Include your username and swap name on all cards AND envelopes.
- Mail cards early so the arrive on or before the due date.
- I recommend placing each page in a plastic zip baggie for extra protection.
- To protect your artwork and that of your returns, mail your pages in a padded envelope.
- I plan to reuse your envelopes so please include a large address label for your returns.
- International participants – I will cover the first 3 international participants. All others please include cash or US postage (my estimate is $4 USD).
- US Participants – Please send cash or postage equivalent to what it cost you to mail your cards to me.
Returns
When you receive your cards for the swap, please remember to leave iTrader for the Host and Rep Points for the people you received cards from.

ArtDuJunque, I love your work so glad you joined!
Sheala.draws, Here is a link to Dapper Dan Dolls. Also think of those soft books that you had as a kid that had different manipulative on each page—but with an adult of sophisticated twist.
theweavershand, Yay!!! So glad you joined!!
Galzart, Good point. I’ll post the rules below.
Whoot, whoot! Oddbreed is in the house!
TF Balding, Wildholly & Jennie, I hope you join us too! The possibilities are so intriguing.

Clarification on the policy on nudity.
To address Galzarts' concern, I pulled up the policy on the site. You can post to this tread but it must be done as an attachement. To post pic as an attachment, click Go Advanced, scroll down and click on Manage Attachements, and upload you photos there.
I also made sure that "adult theme" is clearly stated in the swap title and on the post description. I will add the following to the post description as well.

Dapper Dan the Doll- OMG... I've been researching Dapper Dan from the 1920 and 30s hair pomade ads, and the women that he was with in the ads. So Ok I am now about 50 years too far back

The woman's brand was murrays hair oil pomade and body powder

well darn- crude hart can I use the 20s and 30s?

Jennie, it can, but doesn't have to. Just adult or sophisticated look and must include an operable fastener of some sort.
Ballerina, I hope you'll be back to join us!
