Mette, our resident Moonfairy, has been making art all her life, growing up in a family in which the children were encouraged to try different types of arts and crafts as a part of growing up. “After a long break from drawing,” Mette says, “I just picked up my pencil again and suddenly these big eyed fairies started to appear on the paper. During the last couple of years I have improved my style even further and brought new creatures to life in my art.” Mette works in watercolours, though she is enjoying Twinkling H20s for a sparkly finish. “I have always loved glitter!” she laughs. Her current focus is on improving her technique and also completing her art journals. She loves whimsical and witches, and has combined them in a journal called Teadrinking Witches which pays tribute to her fascination with teacups. A busy mother, Mette fills her days with knitting and baking, saving her artwork for evenings after the children have been put to bed, but there’s no doubt that they will be encouraged, as Mette was, to fill their lives with the joy of creative expression.
