Title Roaring 20's INVENTIONS #10
Description 1929 -- "Rocky Road" Ice Cream Introduced
.....In 1928 Candy Maker Joseph Edy, and ice cream maker William Dreyer, formed a partnership.
.....Declining stock prices in late September and early October 1929 worried people.
....People became further depressed by continuing stock price fall, followed by Black Monday and Black Tuesday (October 29, 1929)
.....By November people were totally bummed, and the R&D Team at Edy's wanted to do something grand for the masses.
.....Edy's changed the ice cream world as we know it, and created one of the first ever ice creams with "Mix-Ins"
.....Edy's created "Rocky Road" ice cream with the slogan "Take life one scoop at a time and the sweetness will follow"
.....Edy's was making the news, and their sales increased.

I thought "Rocky Road" was invented in the late 50's or the early 60's
I had no idea it was created waaaaay back in the 1920's
